CUSTOMER RESOURCES
A better journey starts with better packing.
Help your goods withstand routine handling and transport.
Start with the product
Choose packaging appropriate to the size, weight, fragility and value of the contents. A correctly sized outer carton with internal protection helps reduce avoidable movement.
Essential checks
- Use an undamaged, sufficiently strong outer carton or crate.
- Cushion all sides and prevent movement inside the package.
- Keep liquids sealed in suitable secondary containment where permitted.
- Protect sharp edges and sensitive components.
- Seal securely and position legible labels on a flat surface.
- For pallet cargo, distribute weight and secure the load properly.
Oversized or regulated goods
Request specialist instructions before preparing hazardous, temperature-sensitive, oversized or exceptionally valuable consignments. Labelling alone does not make restricted goods acceptable for transport.
